Cherokee Tiger Orange is a dwarf around 100-120cm high. Large beefsteak tomatoes around 200-500grams each. Slightly flattened fruits with dense and juicy flesh. Bright-red fruits with fine golden-striped. Delicious, sweet and fruity tomato flavor. It seems like it is 2 varieties of ‘Cherokee Tiger Orange’ out there. One with smaller, orange fruits. This variety was given to me as ‘Grubs Mystery Green’ – a beefsteak tomato weighing around 250gram. ‘Grubs Mystery Green’ is a still unstable variety found by David Lockwood in Australia in 2005. Maerizol Meydzhyk Beef turned up in our patch of the regular Maerizol Meydzhyk in 2023. The fruits have the same furry characteristics and the same beautiful peach color with a pink blush. But instead of the regular oval-round shape, these were all flattened and ribbed little beefsteak tomatoes around 150 grams each. Mild, sweet, aromatic tomato flavor. Crack resistant.
