Conditions of Use

Welcome to Merakiseeds.com. Please read all the Conditions of Use below, the shipping terms, and FAQs carefully. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website. By accessing this site and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

If our conditions of use and shipping conditions do not suit you, then please do not place an order in our shop.

 

1. All seed packs are packed by hand. We of course always strive to keep the accurate number of seeds in each pack, but errors might occur. Please contact us if there are any problems with the number of seeds in your pack.

2. Prices, quantities, and the number of seeds in each pack can change at any time at the site. All prices include VAT.

3. Orders will not be processed or shipped until payment has cleared. After a maximum of 24 hours, we remove unpaid orders from our system.  If you are unsure if the payment went through, check your bank account or PayPal account.

4. The minimum order amount is 10€, shipping is not included. If your order is less than 10€ you can not proceed to CHECKOUT.

5. We do not sell seeds in bulk, only in small packs intended for private users. We do not sell to companies, private businesses, resellers, etc. We can not leave a company invoice, only a regular receipt. We do not have any resellers, physical stores, or distributors. We are a very small personal business and only sell through our online store.

6. When your order is placed and paid it is not possible to change your order, remove or add varieties.

7. The free gift seed packs are the choice of MerakiSeeds and can not be chosen by the customer.

8. Reward points can not be redeemed for cash. Reward points can be used as payment for products in the webshop. Reward points are valid for 180 days. 

9. We aim to pack and send your order within 3 business days after we receive your order. During high season though, there might be a slight delay, up to 5 business days. All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

10. Normally the delivery time is around 3-4 weeks, but delivery times of 5 weeks are not uncommon. In some cases, it took the Postal Service over 7 weeks to deliver. If the Postal Service loses your first order completely we will send you a new order 8 weeks after sending the first one.

11. In order to prevent delays and/or missing orders, please ensure your address is accurate and that we have the correct postcode. The address fields are open, so you can type your address exactly how you want it. Add area, neighborhood, state, district, house number, apartment number, gate, floor, or anything else that should be a part of your full address.

If you don't enter the correct and full address when you place your order, we will put that incorrect address on your envelope and your order will most likely be delayed and/or not be delivered to you by the Postal Service. In this case, we can not be held responsible. In many cases, envelopes with the wrong address are returned to us. In this case, we can send your order to you again, for an additional shipping cost. If your order, with the incorrect address, is lost completely and not returned to us for some reason, we can not be held responsible, we can not refund your order or send you a new order for free.

It is not possible for us to change the address on your order once it is shipped. If you notice that you entered the wrong address when placing your, email us immediately at our support mail and notify us with the correct address.

If you live in Estonia, it is especially important that you write your apartment number. Without your apartment number, your order might not be delivered to you. In the case that your order is returned to sender we will send your order again for an additional shipping cost.

12. We accept payment through PayPal, Klarna and all major credit and debit cards. All payments are taken using the currency EURO (€) except payments from Sweden when paying with Klarna - then Swedish Krona is used as currency. Exchange rates may apply. Read more.

13. Packing and shipping with A-post is 4€. When your order exceeds 50€ we include free regular shipping. When your order exceeds 75€ we include free traceable shipping within Europe. We might also send a specific parcel as trackable for any other reason we might find appropriate. If you for some reason DO NOT want traceable shipping, please send us an email regarding this as you place your order. Read more. 

14. In the very unlikely event that our seeds fail to please you, you are welcome to return them. You must send the unopened parcel with traceable post and send us the tracking number. When we have received the parcel we will refund your purchase. Shipping costs of the original order will not be refunded. You have the right to return the parcel within 14 days of receiving it. Read more. 

15. Your personal information is confidential to us and will not be passed on to any third parties. Read more.

16. All tomato seeds are openly pollinated and cross-pollination may on rare occasions occurRead more.

17. Our seeds are sold in small packs only and are exclusively intended for final customers, hobby gardeners only. We do NOT sell to companies/personal businesses. We can not leave a company invoice.

18. We send large seeds like beans, peas, etc. in bubble envelopes or wrapped in bubble plastic. Tomato seeds we send in regular paper envelopes. We place the packs of seeds on a piece of folded A5 paper inside the envelope and tape the packs onto the paper. This is because it is quite common for an envelope to get damaged while the postal service handles it, and packs of seeds might fall out if we don't tape them onto the paper. Be careful when you remove the tape so you don't rip the packs. If you rip a bag open while unpacking your order, seeds might fall out. We will not replace seeds lost this way by the customer.

19. We have cats and dogs. We always do our best to keep every seed pack clean from hair. But on rare occasions we might make a mistake and a hair can follow. We apologize for the inconvenience! 

20. Due to the new EU law on seed regulations with a very complicated approval process, I am obliged to provide the following information. Note on all my seeds: My seeds are sold expressly to private users as ornamental plant seeds and collector's items. All information regarding taste, use, and ingredients is based on traditional experience and is for general information only. Tomatoes are only considered ornamental fruits and are not officially intended for consumption.

21. We of course always send orders that are placed and paid, since we are in the business of receiving orders and sending them to our customers. In the rare cases that orders don't arrive in order it is because the address was incorrect or that the Postal Service lost the order. We always handle these rare cases in one way or the other, sending a new one, refund or in any other way we agree on with the customer. If the order didn't arrive it is never because we didn't send the order. We do not have any patience with rude remarks like "How do I even know that you sent the order". If you would have this kind of attitude, please do not place an order at our site. We have a zero-tolerance against remarks like this.

22. Do not raise a claim with PayPal or threaten to do this. There is no need and it is very contra-productive, time- and energy-consuming. We are in the business of sending orders to our customers. If your order doesn't arrive, it IS NOT because we didn't send it. The reason might be an incorrect address or the fault of the Postal Service. If your order doesn't arrive within 8 weeks we will send you a new one. Or compensate you in another way that we agree on. If you don't receive a response to a question like "why didn't my order arrive yet", it is because all this information is available on our site, and sometimes we do not have the time to answer every question that already has an available answer on our site.
