Idaho Gem NOT is a dwarf variety growing up to 100cm in average in height. ‘Idaho Gem’ is a heavy yielder of true yellow fruits around 100-300gram. But some of our plants in 2022 produced ivory-shimmering, almost translucent, fruits in white with a green-pink blush. The fruits were also more oblate and a bit larger than ‘Idaho Gem’. Delicious juicy and sweet tomato flavor. Rugose, dark green, regular leaves. Derives from the Fancy Family, a cross between the Sunny Family and 'Orange Pear', by Sherry Long. Iditarod Red, 'Iditarod Red Tomato' is a dwarf variety growing up to 90cm in height. Produces round, smooth mid-sized tomatoes, around 60-100grams each. Bright-red fruits with a well-balanced tomato flavor. Rugose, dark green foliage, regular leaf. Was developed between 2006 and 2011 from a selection from "the Grumpy Family", a cross between 'Budai Torpe' and 'Black from Tula', by Patrina Nuske Small in 2006. A selection grown by Richard Allen in Australia was then sent to Sue Bailey in Alaska. Bailey selected and named 'Iditarod Red' after a famous dog sled race between Anchorage and Nome, Alaska.
