Multiflora

Karma Purple Multiflora produces round to slightly flattened fruits around 20-40grams each in smaller multiflora clusters. Dark-purple fruits with a slightly green neck. Dark flesh with an excellent rich and fruity tomato flavor. Think skin. Indeterminate. Potato leaf. This variety is a product of “the Karma Project” by Karen Olivier, Northern Gardener, of Canada and Marsha Eisenberg of Florida. Named after KARen and MArsha. Selected from a cross between Captain Lucky and Ambrosia. The other varieties in “The Karma Project” are Karma Apricot, Karma Miracle, Karma Peach, Karma Purple, and Karma Pink. Ballen is a multi-flora tomato, producing large clusters with loads of tomatoes. Red cherry tomatoes of around 15 grams each. The fruits are ribbed, looking like tiny little accordion tomatoes. The fruits keep well, both on the plant and after harvest. Sweet, traditional tomato flavor. The story of this variety is that tomatoes were bought in Ballen Havn in Denmark, for breakfast!
