Amy’s Sugar Gem produces round, bright red cherry tomatoes. Meaty and juicy fruits with a sweet taste. This is an indeterminate, vining variety of tomato growing to about 200cm in height and spreads some width-wise depending on how much of the suckers are pruned and the choice of staking and support. Developed by Jeff McCormack after a cross between 'Red Cherry' and 'Tappy's Finest'. The story of this tomato is that some seeds were picked out from a tomato on a flight to Singapore by a lady called Annie. She later cultivated the seeds and the fruits turned out delicious.
