Woolly
All varieties in this category have the "woolly gene", making them more or less woolly. For some of the varieties, only the fruits are woolly and for some of the varieties both the fruits, stems, and leaves are woolly.
Some varieties are bush varieties that might need staking. Normally they don't need any pruning. If the plant would get too large, it of course can be cut down a bit. Many of the bush varieties are determinate varieties. Determinate means that the plant will grow to a certain size and shape and then set fruit, the harvest period normally is around 10-20 days. After this, the plant is "done" and dies.
Some varieties are of indeterminate growth. Indeterminate means that the plant will keep on growing and producing fruit all season. Should preferably be staked or supported and might require pruning of the suckers. Read more about different types of tomatoes.
Smoky Mountain Tomato
Smoky Mountain produces round to oblate mid-sized tomatoes with a slight ribbing. Bright red fruits around 50-100 grams each with a light fuzzy hairy skin.
