Achatado, or Xatu, is a Spanish long keeper variety, a ”Tomate de Colgar”, “Hanging Tomato”. Produces mid-sized, flattened, and ribbed fruits of around 30-60 grams each. ‘Achatado’ means just that in Spanish, “Flattened”. Pale, orange-red fruits with a pink blush. Quite a juicy, tasty-sweet tomato flavor. Firm flesh, thick skin. Crack-resistant. Good shelf life, and keeps very well after harvest. Indeterminate. 75-80D. 10seeds/pack

This variety is named after a farmhouse in Aguilar de Segarra and was reported by Rosa Vilaró. Produces quite small, orange fruits with a pointed tip, around 40grams each. Its named after the village of Arbúcies in Girona and was reported by Pere Pasqual. Produces orange-red fruits with a pointed end, around 50grams each. Firm fruits with thick flesh and little juice. It is named after the village of Vilanova de Bellpuig, from where it originates. Reported by Pere Sauch. Produces flat-round fruits with ribbed shoulders, around 50grams each.
