High Growing Tomatoes

Jantar, “Amber” in Polish, produces mid-sized to large beefsteak tomatoes of around 250-500grams each. Round-ish, slightly flattened fruits with plump and slightly ribbed shoulders. Dense and meaty flesh with sweet and tasty tomato flavor. The other varieties in the picture are ‘George’s Greek’, ‘Big Italian Plum’, and ‘Arkashin’. Commercial variety from Poland. Japanese Trifele Black produces pear-shaped, normal-sized tomatoes around 7cm long. Dark-brown-red-black fruits with excellent full tomato flavor. Indeterminate. Russia. 75D. 10seeds/pack

Japanese Trifele Orange produces pear-shaped, normal-sized tomatoes around 80grams each. Golden-orange-yellow fruits with a pleasant, sweet, and fruity tomato flavor. This is an indeterminate, vining variety of tomato growing to about 200cm in height and spreads some width-wise depending on how much of the suckers are pruned and the choice of staking and support. Jaune Cotelee de Montlouis, “Yellow Ribbed from Montlouis”, produces gorgeous, heavily ribbed and flattened fruits around 100-200 grams each. Bright yellow fruits with pale yellow flesh, sometimes with a pink blush. Slightly dry and firm texture, good for cooking. Mild tomato flavor. From France, probably originating from Montlouis in Indre et Loire. Indeterminate. 75-80D. 10seeds/pack

JD´s Special C-Tex produces flattened slightly ribbed beefsteak tomatoes of around 200-500 grams each. Beautiful, purple fruits with a green neck. Dark red, firm flesh with contrasting green gel. Excellent, rich, “black” tomato flavor. From a cross between ‘Early Girl F1’ and ‘Black Krim’. Developed by JD Brann, Texas in the 1980s. Was featured in 2008 in the Seed Savers Yearbook.
