Low Growing Tomatoes

Melanie’s Ballet, 'Dwarf Melanie's Ballet Tomato' is a dwarf variety growing up to 100cm in height. Produces slightly elongated, slightly heart-shaped tomatoes, around 60-120grams each. One of the first paste-type varieties in DTP. Paste-type tomatoes contain less water than "normal" tomatoes and are perfect for tomato sauce, puree, cooking, etc. The fruits are very firm and meaty and not so watery if cooked. Dark-pink fruits with a pleasant, sweet flavor. Rugose, dark green foliage, regular leaf. Derives from "the Leggy Family", Susan Oliverson selected, stabilized, and named the variety. Meraki’s Green Boy, previously called ’Purple Boy Green’, is a micro dwarf variety growing up to around 25cm in height, like ‘Purple Boy’. One of our plants in 2024 turned out to produce green fruits instead of the normal red-purple fruits of ‘Purple Boy’. Compact and sturdy little plants with rugose, dark green leaves. Produces round, large cherry tomatoes in green, slightly translucent fruits. Fruity and mild tomato flavor with a hint of acidity. Similar to Fat Frog. In 2025, I grew around 20 plants from my own seeds of 2024; all turned out the same, as the description above. 10seeds/pack

Meraki’s Shimmering Gem Dwarf Tomato is a variety that grows up to 100cm on average. The original seeds were grown as ‘Idaho Gem’ from the Dwarf Tomato Project. But some of our plants in 2022 produced ivory-shimmering, almost translucent, fruits in white with a green-pink blush. The fruits were also more oblate and a bit larger than ‘Idaho Gem’. Merry Dwarf is a mini dwarf variety growing up to about 40-50cm in height. Produces elongated paste-type tomatoes. Bright red, firm fruits with few seeds. Thick walls and good shelf life. Traditional tomato flavor. Very similar to Auria. 70D. 5seeds/pack

Metallica, 'Dwarf Metallica Tomato' is a dwarf variety growing up to 60-90cm in height. Produces slightly oblate, slightly heart-shaped beefsteak tomatoes, around 100-450grams each. Beautiful pink-green fruits with metallic-green stripes. Crimson flesh with full, delicious flavor, slightly more acid than sweet. Rugose, dark green foliage, regular leaf. Derives from "the Beauty Family”, a cross by Vincent Lavallo between 'Dwarf Wild Fred’ and 'Beauty King'. ’Dwarf Metallica' was selected and named by Suzanne Dzejachok. Introduced in 2020. Micro Cherry is a cascading variety, growing with 30-40cm long stems and bushy, semi-compact plants. Has a very fine-leaved, delicate foliage and stems. Produces round, thin-skinned, red cherry tomatoes, around 2-5grams each. About the size of wild, currant tomatoes. Sweet tomato flavor. Good blight tolerance. Around 65D. 10seeds/pack

Micro Gemma is a micro dwarf variety around 15-20cm high. Round-oval cherry tomatoes, around 3-4grams each. Golden-yellow, firm and crisp fruits. Intense, sweet but slightly tart tomato flavor. Developed for the International Space Station. Its sister is the red variety - Micro-Tina. Determinate. 65-70D. 5seeds/pack

Micro Mars is a micro dwarf variety growing up to around 20-30cm in height. Compact and sturdy little plants with thick and slightly rugose foliage. Produces pretty cherry tomatoes around 10-15 grams each. Ripens in a spectrum of colors from dark-purple-green, to dark-purple-yellow-orange and dark-purple-red as fully ripe.
