This variety has quite small fruits and got its name from the smallest room in the house, “el caganer”, which literally means "the pooper". George's Greek produces mid-sized beefsteak tomatoes of around 200-500grams each. Slightly flattened and ribbed fruits in a shiny red color. Meaty and juicy flesh with a traditional, sweet tomato flavor. George’s Greek is front left in the picture. The other varieties in the picture are ‘Big Italian Plum’, ‘Arkashin’, and Jantar (yellow). George (of Greek descent), in Vancouver, British Columbia, grew the variety for several years. Seeds were later obtained by his daughter Tina Exarchoulis.
