Tisica, ‘tomàquet de penjar tísica’, is a Spanish “hanging tomato” – longkeeper tomato from Catalonia, Spain. “Penjar” is “to hang” in Catalan. Originates in the municipality of Vilajuïga and was reported by Cisco Muntaner. Produces small, round fruits with a pointed end, around 20-30grams each. Firm fruits, keep very well after harvest. Tiger Zebra is a paste-type tomato, containing less water than “regular” tomatoes, perfect for cocking and sauces, etc. Produces elongated fruits with a distinct, curved, pointed ends, around 50 grams each. Exceptionally beautiful, shiny fruits in green-brown-striped. Meaty, brown-green flesh with a bright and sweet tomato flavor. Tiger Eye, 'Dwarf Tiger Eye Tomato' is a dwarf variety growing up to 100cm in height. Heavy yielder of elongated paste-type tomatoes around 80-120grams each. Brown fruits with a darker neck and some green stripes. Pleasant, well-balanced tomato flavor. Paste-type tomatoes contain less water than "normal" tomatoes and are perfect for tomato sauce, puree, cooking, etc. The fruits are very firm and meaty and not so watery if cooked. Rugose, dark green foliage, regular leaf. Determinate dwarf. Derives from "the Leggy Family", a cross by Sherry Long between a selection from "the Lazy Family" and 'Orange Banana'.
