Re Umberto is a longkeeper variety. Produces oval to plum-shaped fruits that ripen from green to bright red. Traditional mild-sweet, tomato flavor. Thick skin and firm flesh, crack-resistant. Good shelf life, and keeps very well after harvest. Also great for sun drying, sauces, cooking, etc. Probably the same variety as ‘Köning Humbert, from two different seed sources that named them differently. Mentioned already in 1884, in the ‘W. Rebel Alliance is a multi-flora tomato, producing large clusters with loads of tomatoes. Beautifully, heart-shaped cherry tomatoes with a slight ribbing. Dark-brown-red fruits with brown-green flesh. Excellent, full tomato flavor. Cross between ‘Zluta Kytice’ and ‘Not Purple Strawberry’ by Russ Aceto. 75D. Regular leaf. Indeterminate, around 150cm high.
