Jantar, “Amber” in Polish, produces mid-sized to large beefsteak tomatoes of around 250-500grams each. Round-ish, slightly flattened fruits with plump and slightly ribbed shoulders. Dense and meaty flesh with sweet and tasty tomato flavor. The other varieties in the picture are ‘George’s Greek’, ‘Big Italian Plum’, and ‘Arkashin’. Commercial variety from Poland. Janet’s Jacinthe Jewel produces oblate beefsteak tomatoes around 200-300grams each. Dark -yellow-orange fruits with golden stripes. Excellent, fruity, juicy, mild, and sweet tomato flavor. This is an indeterminate, vining variety of tomato growing to about 200cm in height and spreads some width-wise depending on how much of the suckers are pruned and the choice of staking and support.
