Hangjiao 5 Helix Nebula is a chili from the Chinese space project. The goal of the Space Project is to find a solution to handle the increased demand for food in China with its growing population. In 1987 a scientist with the Chinese Academy of Sciences named Jiang Xingcun discovered that the mutation rate of seeds increases a hundredfold if they are sent into space orbit for some time. The mutation resulted in larger fruit, yields but also increased nutritional value. By now China has sent around 400 plant seed species to space. Helix Nebula produces quite compact plants around 50-60cm in height and spreads around 40-50cm widthwise. Heavy yielder of bright-red fruits up to 20-30cm long. Some straight growing and some quite curled. Juicy and thin-walled fruits. Medium hot, around 5000 – 8.000 SHU. Capsicum annuum. Mid-season. 10seeds/pack

Hot Burrito is a very compact variety with plants up to around 30cm in height. Perfect to grow in pots or containers. Produces large, cone-shaped fruits, up to 10cm long. Upright growing fruits that ripen from green to bright red. Mild, around 3000-6000SHU. 80D. Capsicum annuum. 10seeds/pack

Hot Paper Lantern produces mid-sized plants around 70-90cm high. Elongated, slightly chubby fruits, ripen from green to red. Fruity, hot flavor, around 250.000-300.000 SHU. Capsicum chinense. Does well also in cooler weather. 10seeds/pack

Hungarian Boldog produces a mid-sized plant, up to 50-60 cm high. Elongated fruits, around 12cm long that ripen from green to red. Sweet, and slightly spicy flavor with a pleasant heat. From Boldog, Hungary. Capsicum annuum. 10seeds/pack

Hungarian Hot Wax is a great variety to grow in cooler climates and shorter seasons. Ripens from green, yellow, orange to red as fully ripe. Normally harvested as yellow, before it’s fully ripe and red. Quite large fruits, around 10-15cm long. In general mild, but with a wide heat range, between 1.000-15.000SHU. Capsicum annuum. Hungarian Round, also called Red Cherry Hot, produces a bushy plant, up to 70cm high. Smaller, chubby, cone-shaped fruits that ripen from green to red. Fruity aroma. Medium hot, around 20.000 SHU. Early. Capsicum annuum. 10seeds/pack
