Cherny Mavr Paste-Type Tomato
Cherny Mavr, "Black Mother", produces chubby, oval, paste-type tomatoes, around 5cm long. Dark-red-black, firm fruits with a pleasant sweet tomato flavor. Keeps well after picking. This is an indeterminate, vining variety of tomato growing to about 200cm in height and spreads some width-wise depending on how much of the suckers are pruned and the choice of staking and support. Castellar, ‘tomàquet de penjar de Castellar’, is a Spanish “hanging tomato” – longkeeper tomato from Catalonia, Spain. “Penjar” is “to hang” in Catalan. It’s named after the municipality of Castellar del Vallès and was reported by Lluís Serra. Produces round, smooth, pale-pink fruits around 50grams each. Each cluster contains around 7 tomatoes. Pink, quite juicy flesh. Keeps well after harvest. Indeterminate. 80D. 10seeds/pack
