d’Arbúcies, ‘de tomàquet de penjar d’Arbúcies’, is a Spanish “hanging tomato” – longkeeper tomato from Catalonia, Spain. “Penjar” is “to hang” in Catalan. Its named after the village of Arbúcies in Girona and was reported by Pere Pasqual. Produces orange-red fruits with a pointed end, around 50grams each. Firm fruits with thick flesh and little juice. Cuban Like Pepper produces quite large paste-type tomatoes of around 100-300grams each. The fruit in the picture is 125 grams. Beautiful fruits in a dark, brick-red-brown color. Crispiana, “Crispiano Giallorosso”, is a longkeeper variety from the town of Crispiano in southern Italy. Produces round, golden fruits with a pink-red blush of around 20-50 grams each, never looking completely ripe. Pleasant, acidic tomato flavor. Thick skin and firm flesh, crack-resistant. Good shelf life, and keeps very well after harvest. In Italian, this is a “pomodori da serbo”, a tomato for storage. Indeterminate. 70-75D. 10seeds/pack
