Bishop’s Pea, also called Biskopens, is a high-growing variety, about 200cm high. Flowers with pink-red flowers. Green pods that can be harvested as snow peas as unmatured. Björks Snow Pea produces small green pods, resembling many of the other sweet peas from Norrland, Sweden. Possibly slightly more productive than other varieties from this region. Grows up to 200cm and needs support. Has been grown by the Björk’s Family for generations, at least since 1847. Bjurholms Blåärt is a blue pea that grows to around 150-170cm high and needs support. Flowers with purple-pink flowers and after, produce dark purple pods. Can be used as a snow pea if harvested early. When harvested as fully ripe, use as shelling peas in soups, pies, stews, etc. Can be eaten fresh or dried or canned for later use. From Sweden.
