High Growing Tomatoes

Mikado Violettor produces mid-sized, slightly flattened, globe-shaped fruits around 80-150grams each. Shiny and smooth, dark-pink fruits. Very juicy fruits with sweet tomato flavour. 75-80D. Indeterminate. 10seeds/pack

Red Mikado produces oblate, ribbed beefsteak tomatoes about 200-300grams each, sometimes 400gram. Pink-red fruits with a full, sweet, pleasant tomato flavor. This is an indeterminate, vining variety of tomato growing to about 200cm in height and spreads some width-wise depending on how much of the suckers are pruned and the choice of staking and support. An old, commercial variety that was introduced by Peter Henderson in 1886. Most likely the first potato-leafed variety introduces in a seeds catalog. "Mikado" means "Emperor" in Japanes. Midnight Sun produces beautiful heart-shaped beefsteak tomatoes around 200-400grams each. Golden-yellow-orange fruits with pink marbling. Meaty and firm fruits with few seeds. Delicious rich and fruit tomato flavor. Potato leaf. Indeterminate. Cross between ‘Ludmilla Pink Heart’ and ‘Captain Lucky’. This variety is bred by Karen Olivier (Northern Gardener) of Canada in the project “True North”. The other varieties in the project are Polaris, Taiga, Tundra, and True Colors. Midnight in Moscow produces round-ish, slightly flattened, and slightly ribbed beefsteak tomatoes of around 150-300 grams each. Purple-red fruits with darker green necks. Dark red, firm, dense flesh. Excellent, rich, complex “black” tomato flavor. Does well also in cooler weather. From Russia, brought to the US by an immigrant. Indeterminate. 75-80D. 5seeds/pack

Meteora is a variety supposedly grown at the Meteora Monasteries in the North of Greece. Produces matte-red, round to slightly oblate and slightly ribbed fruits around 80-150grams each. Sweet and traditional tomato flavor. Indeterminate. 70-75D. 10seeds/pack

Meraki’s Striped Zula produces multi-colored, striped fruits in metallic-green-red with green-pink flesh. The fruits are flat-round and ribbed, weighing around 100-200 grams each. Great slicing tomato with a juicy and sweet tomato flavor. We grew this variety in 2022 as ‘Kozula 139’, which it is clearly not, since ‘Kozula 139’ is a paste-type variety.
