Malabar Spinach is a a trailing, beautiful plant with dark-green, shiny leaves and purple-red stems. Flowers with pink small flowers, that later becomes the seeds. When the seeds are fresh they can easily stain skin or clothes, just like blueberries! Can be used as an alternative to ordinary spinach, cook and use in pies etc. or as soup, stir-fried and more. Can also be boiled slightly and frozen for later use. More seldom used raw. Requires a warm place and support, can easily grow to more that 2 meters high. Basella rubra. 20seeds/pack
Sow seeds indoors before planting in the garden. Sow the seeds 1cm deap. Use sterilized potting soil. Place in a warm place for better germination. Do not let the seedlings dry out.
