Common Purslane, also known as little hogweed or pursley, is a annual to perennial succulent plant. Quite low growing tufts, but can reach up to 40cm. Green small leaves with a wax-cover, red-green stems. Flowers with small, yellow flowers. Can be used fresh in salads, stir-fried or cooked in other ways. Nutritious, rich in E-vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids. Tolerates poor soil and drought. Tolerant towards pests, insects and diseases. Portulaca oleracea. Around 700seeds/pack
Sow directly in the garden when the soil is ready. Can also be pre-cultivated for later planting in the garden. Extremely small seeds, that are light germinating. Do not cover, or only use a thin layer of perlite as cover. For best germination, place over 25°C. Do not let the seedlings dry out.
