Shimofuri is a tumbling tomato growing with cascading stems. Unique variegated foliage in white, pink, and green. Produces elongated, beautiful, large cherry tomatoes. The fruits are pink and have a pointed tip, around 30grams each. Excellent sweet taste with little acid. Shimofuri means "Frost Fall" in Japanese. Determinate. 65D.
It's perfect to grow in hanging baskets, window baskets and raised beds and containers. No pruning of the suckers is needed. If you choose to not grow it in a way that the plant can tumble downwards the fruits might end up on the ground, in that case, some support och staking might be needed. If planted in a smaller container the plant will grow to a smaller size. If planted in a large container the plant normally grows larger. If the plant would get too big, prune it to fit the space. If you have the room, just let it grow and expand!
